I'm Raisin' + Riding for Phoenix Bikes, and I'd love your support!
This August, I'm riding in the Raisin' Ride to support Phoenix Bikes, a nonprofit that helps youth thrive through bikes, hands-on learning, and community. A place that truly changed my life. Phoenix Bikes gave me a chance even though I didn't know a single thing about bikes.
My story with Phoenix Bikes goes back to 2015, when I joined as a Program Assistant. It didn't take long for this place to pull me in. I grew into the role of Education Program Manager, learning and building alongside the youth and staff every step of the way. When the season of life called for it, I stepped away to pour into my family, but Phoenix never really left me. So when the chance came to return as Director of Operations, I jumped at it. Coming back felt like coming home.
Phoenix gave me opportunities to grow, not only professionally, but personally. It invested in me as a person. And I've watched it do the same for staff and teens alike, year after year. Phoenix Bikes lights a fire in everyone it touches, and I'm living proof of that.
Phoenix Bikes is more than a shop. A space where growth and exploration are sparked:
- Sharing new experiences to learn from each other
- Learning bike mechanics, teamwork, and leadership
- Building bikes with personality that tell a story
My goal is to raise $5,000. Every dollar supports real opportunities for youth to learn, grow, and ride toward a brighter future, the same kind of future Phoenix helped me build.
