Getting a Proclamation

  • Use Fillable Form – Click HERE for Town, Click HERE for City, and Click HERE for County
  • In blank areas
    • Put in your mayor or council member.
    • Your Town/City/County
  • Find your local Town/City/County’s contact person. If you you need help, please call the Chapter. 
  • Submit
  • If approved, let us know so we can send you any materials you will need and can notify other members that live in your area.
  • And, don't forget to take pictures so we can add them to our newsletters, e-blasts, and this website!

 

Alternatively

  • With your permission and assistance, we can prepare and submit the documents for a Proclamation for you. Contact BDASC if you would like to take advantage of this.
  • If approved, you will still be responsible for receiving the Proclamation. 

Proclamations and Celebrations Throughout South Carolina

South Carolina State Proclamation

Join us for a ceremonial reading of the state's proclamtion from Lt. Governor, Pamela Evette on March 9th at 11:00am in the Capitol Rotunda.

City of Greenville - In recognition of the proclamation, lights on Liberty Bridge will be turned red for the first two weeks of March. We will have a sign at the entrance to the bridge explaining the significance of the lighting and telling a bit about BDASC and our work.

Proclamation Dates

On March 9 at 11:00am- Governor's Proclamation reading- Capitol Rotuna, Lt. Governor Pamela Evette's office.

On March 10 at 6:00pm- Town of Summerville, Council Chambers, 200 S. Main Street, Summerville, SC 2948.

On March 15 at 6:00pm- The County of Greenville. 301 University Ridge, Greenville, SC 29601

On March 21 at 6:00pm- The Town of Cowpens
