So we're raising money to forgive a million dollars USD of medical debt.
This was started so that I could raise money to forgive a million dollars of medical debt in Illinois. We only got $24.96, and I gave up. But now, I'm trying again.
RIP Medical Debt, as seen on Last Week Tonight, with John Oliver, buys medical debt that people cannot pay, and then forgives it.
A penny donated is roughly equivalent to purchasing a dollar's worth of medical debt and forgiving it. A dollar means you've purchased and forgiven a hundred dollars' worth of medical debt. Over the past 3 or so years, I've given enough to buy somewhere above $10,000 worth of medical debt. It's simple; it's easy; and it's cheap to do. Why not save someone from crushing debt? It only takes as little as a dollar. If you donate here, I don't have any access to the money donated. It goes straight to RIP Medical Debt.
