Help Me Abolish $1.5 Million in U.S. Veterans' Medical Debt

Military personnel put their lives on the line, and at no small cost. Many veterans return injured, physically and emotionally. Much to America’s shame, a big part of their burden is medical debt. Veterans may suffer long-term health issues that can outlast their benefits from Veterans Affairs.

Together, we can help RIP Medical Debt forgive bundles of outstanding medical debt that is causing many American families to struggle under crushing debt. With your donation, RIP Medical Debt purchases a portfolio of debt on the secondary market (much like how mortgages are resold and repackaged). The debtor is informed that s/he is free from that particular debt and its blemish on his/her credit report. I'm doing my small part to help raise funds for the RIP Veterans’ Medical Debt Program.

What is RIP Medical Debt?

RIP Medical Debt is a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) charity established in 2014 to locate, purchase and forgive unpaid and unpayable medical debt. Funded by small and large donations from people and organizations, RIP buys medical debt and then abolishes it. No strings attached. Your help makes a difference. You can donate today by clicking on the green "Donate Now" button below

Feel free to learn more at RIPMedicalDebt.org or by checking out the "Fast Facts about RIP Medical Debt" section below. If you decide to donate, it would be great if you came back to this page to make your secure donation so I can get closer to my own goal of helping RIP eradicate $1.5 million in medical debt.

RIP Medical Debt has different campaigns to help erase crippling debt, one of which is the RIP Veterans’ Medical Debt Program. To confirm, the latter campaign is what I'm raising donations for.

My Connection to RIP Medical Debt

I first heard about RIP Medical Debt many months ago but their cause was brought to my attention again recently when chatting with their Co-founder, Jerry Ashton. We had just connected on LinkedIn and I wanted to help out. I’ve wanted to set up my own non-profit and I believe that coming in as a fundraiser under RIP Medical Debt is a great way to start out before I eventually set up a 501(c)(3).

Other than that LinkedIn connection with Jerry and in reaching out to help, I’m not affiliated with RIP Medical Debt or its employees in any way.

I do not have access to the funds donated.

In other words, I do not benefit from your kind donation. Upon successful completion of this drive, I will undertake other campaigns in conjunction with RIP Medical Debt. Ultimately, my goal is to start my own 501(c)(3) at some point.
