Stripes for RMCC!

The Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Carolinas Wear Your Stripes #forRMHC campaign is a week-long, social media driven peer to peer fundraising campaign that uses the iconic Ronald McDonald stripe socks to continue to share our mission of keeping families together in the Upstate.

In our inaugural year we have 16 board members, volunteers, donors and friends sporting the striped socks for 6 consecutive days from July 8th to July 13th.

I am lucky enough to be one of those volunteers, and for those of you that know me well know I love wearing crazy fun socks!

I got involved with the house over two years ago while I was working at McMillan Pazdan Smith.  The house was getting ready to start on a 17,500 SF expansion and I got to be apart of it by serving as one of the project architects who got to design the new building.  The project was completed in June of 2018 and adds 12 additional guest rooms along with other support spaces like a new kitchen, laundry facilities and office space the the RMH staff!  The experience of working with the organization and learning about their mission of keeping families close was truly a life changing experience.
