SARC's 18th Annual Walk a Mile Event is
scheduled for April 18th!
SARC Walk A Mile In Their Shoes is a community event that finds men, women, and their families walking together in a visually impressive public statement of listening, learning, and commitment to raise awareness about the serious causes, effects, and remedies for victims and survivors of sexual assault and domestic violence.
There is an old saying: "You can't really understand another person's experience until you've walked a mile in their shoes." Walk a Mile in Their Shoes events ask participants to literally walk one mile in high-heeled shoes. It's not easy but it's a playful opportunity to rally support in our community and raise funds for SARC which provides resources, hope, and healing to victims of violence in Harford County.
