I'm doing my FIRST Polar Plunge® Chicago on Sunday, March 1st to benefit Special Olympics Illinois and Special Children's Charities. I'll be jumping into the warm waters (ha!) of Lake Michigan to support individuals with intellectual disabilities. This cause is important to me because my son, Everett, is a participant.
Everett trains and competes in various Special Olympic events throughout the school year. He loves attending these events; his favorites are basketball and bowling. He recently attended a basketball tournament where he completed all 3 skills events and placed second in his division. Go Everett!
