Thank you for visiting my fundraising page for the Making Strides for Special Kids 5K Run/Walk!

I’m participating in this event to raise funds for Special Education District of Lake County (SEDOL), a cooperative educational system working with school districts throughout the county to serve students who are facing physical, emotional, and other learning challenges. These funds will be used to directly enrich the educational, vocational, and social opportunities for children with disabilities in Lake County. I have seen firsthand how much SEDOL students and their families need our help and I know what a direct and meaningful impact we can provide. 

My son Allen, was a student with SEDOL from 1st to 4th grade.  I can't begin to tell you how much the staff at SEDOL helped him, turning him into the wonderful kid he is today!  He has come so, so far!  He will be a Freshman starting High School in just a little over a week and hasn't needed his IEP since 6th grade.  Please consider making a donation that will impact another child in such a positive way!
