Huck House Sleep Out 2019
I am joining Huck House in their annual sleep out to raise awareness for homeless youth in Columbus. If you're interested in making a difference the easiest way is to acknowledge the youth homelessness crisis in Columbus and make yourself aware of available resources. If you're interested in making a more direct contribution you can donate to my fundraising page or participate in the sleep out yourself! Huck House is an awesome organization and I encourage you to familiarize yourself with their programs or reach out to me for more information!
Huckleberry House is working to prevent and end youth homelessness in Central Ohio. In 2017, more than 1,300 youth ages 14–24 were served in Columbus and Franklin County shelters, 532 of them were teenagers who found safety at Huck House's crisis shelter.
We also ended the path to chronic homelessness for 76 young adults (18-22) who graduated from our Transitional Living Program, equipped with and education and/or employment and the life skills needed to live independently in permanent housing.
Your donation will benefit the proven programs of Huck House. Every young person deserves a place to live and a chance to thrive.
