Vikings Sleep Out!

For the second year, a group of Northland High School students are sleeping out to raise awareness of the growing problem of youth homelessness in central Ohio.

Huckleberry House is working to prevent and end youth homelessness in Central Ohio. In 2018, 2000 youth ages 14–24 were served in Columbus and Franklin County shelters, 500 of them were teenagers who found safety at Huck House's crisis shelter.

Last year, Huck House also ended the path to chronic homelessness for 76 young adults (18-22) who graduated from our Transitional Living Program, equipped with and education and/or employment and the life skills needed to live independently in permanent housing.

By sleeping out we hope to raise awareness and support for the young people of our community. Every young person deserves a place to live and a chance to thrive.
