The life-sustaining medications that people with bleeding disorders need can be very costly, and insurance companies are always coming up with new schemes to limit or deny coverage. Also, living with a bleeding disorder can be scary and complicated. The Bleeding Disorders Association of South Carolina supports our bleeding disorders community by providing education, advocacy, and financial assistance. 

Our son, Thomas, is 4 years old and has severe hemophilia. Thankfully he has done really well so far with the current access we have to his medicine! But we have to continually advocate to maintain and increase access for everyone.
