This is our seventh year with BDASC and we are just as excited this year to support this organization.  My appreciation this year has doubled, probably tripled since Logan started kindergarten.  

When we first found out about Logan's diagnosis, I felt almost certain that Logan would need to attend school where I teach so I could be there for emergencies.  I am a very firm believer in not having my own children at my school so they can be their own people.  I just knew that this wouldn't be possible anymore. 

By meeting and hearing people's stories at BDASC events, I slowly came to realize that having Logan at the public school we are zoned for could be a possibility.  BDASC provided a slideshow that we customized and we were able to quickly educate anyone who will be with Logan when we aren't there.  His public school experience has been amazing with a school nurse that loves on him, teachers that keep his condition in mind, but he has the ability to be just like everyone else. Not the teacher's kid, not the boy with hemophilia, but Logan Smith who gets to let his light shine everyday.  Your support makes this possible for Logan and for future kids with the same diagnosis.
