Creutzfeldt-Jakob Disease (CJD), is a rare, rapidly progressive neurodegenerative disease which rapidly and fatally deteriorates the brain. It can be genetic, sporadic or variant, but no matter what the type, CJD has no treatment or cure and is invariably fate. In 2017 we learned that CJD is genetic in our family. Our team was originally created in honor of the loved ones we have lost to the disease, but now we walk for those we have lost and we fight for those living with the uncertainty of what the future holds.
