In 2017 we lost an incredible woman. Rose Kowalski. I tell everyone that our family won the lottery in having the best wife, mom, mother in law, and grandma. She was amazing. 

Rose touched our lives with grace and warmth. Her kindness and strength were evident in every interaction, and her spirit will forever remain in our hearts. Though her time with us was cut short by CJD, the impact of her love and wisdom endures.

Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease (CJD) is a rare, fatal brain disorder that causes neurological symptoms and mental deterioration. It's caused by prions, which are disease-causing proteins that can cause normal proteins in the body to misfold.

Unfortunately, there is no cure for CJD, and treatment is focused on relieving symptoms and providing supportive care.  Please help us raise money by joining us in walking the 5k, donating to our fundraiser, or praying for a cure.
