My name is Dede Krueger. This is my first year participating in the Striking Out Domestic Violence Event. This event will raise money for the women and children who live in Shirley's House of Hope.
You may be wondering why I support something like this. Well, here is my story. The first time I went to Shirley's House of Hope was after my son's graduation party. I went there with nothing more than a flat of buns, 4 to 5 bags of chips, etc. The thanks and blessings that I received were more than an eye-awakening moment for me. It showed me that this little donation that I had made was huge to them for their future meals. I then went back again with personal hygene items, and once again I received thanks and blessings. I knew I had to do more. I recieved in the mail a pamphlet for the Striking Out Domestic Violence event. That same day I made a call to reserve a lane and say that I was a captain along with 3 other bowlers.
