Give Families in Need a Warm & Welcoming Home away from Home

I've known about the Ronald McDonald House for a long time. Since I first heard about their mission and what they do to care for families experiencing an unthinkable situation, I was in. I couldn't imagine what it felt like for a family whose child is in the hospital across the street for an unknown period of time. Having a warm, welcoming place during a time like this is so important. Through my company, I found ways to support the house for many years.

That was my relationship with the Ronald McDonald House. When our third child was born, that all changed. She was born at Greenville Memorial right across the street. Everything was going well until our baby girl was checked out right after birth and the doctor noticed some issues. Through a whirlwind that lasted half a day but seemed like forever, our baby went to the NICU. A nurse explained what the next few days might look like and then asked if we would like her to check-in with the Ronald McDonald House on our behalf. It was an experience of disbelief. I had never imagined being in this position - of having a child in the hospital and needing somewhere closeby to stay. The feelings my wife and I had were indescribable.

We were fortunate - our little girl's stay in the NICU was only two nights and she slept in our room at the hospital the final night before we went home. During her time in the NICU, we met so many other parents and realized just how lucky we were. Our hearts broke for them. Their stories brought us to tears.

That event changed forever our connection to the Ronald McDonald House. We so thankfully never needed to stay there - but we felt the feelings of so many families who do. We decided to do everything we could to continue supporting this amazing place and the families who do need a welcoming place. I wear my stripes because of what the RMH does to care for families in the midst of crisis.

I invite you to join us in helping this awesome place that is a light during such dark times for families from our community and afar. Times are tough for everyone. Because the house has had to cancel all of their fundraising events for the year, they need support now more than ever.

In fact - we'd like to double your support and the impact it will have for families in need of a warm, welcoming place to stay. We will match up to the first $500 given through our fundraiser.

Thank you for considering supporting this amazing cause!
