This spring, I’m participating in the Swim A Mile | Move A Mile for Women with Cancer to raise funds for the Women's Cancer Resource Center—and I hope you'll consider a contribution!
For 40 years, WCRC has been a resource for local women and families navigating cancer, providing free services like practical support, connections to care, and a place to feel understood. These services make a real difference for over 900 patients, and survivors WCRC serves each year, including the North Bay.
This swim is a very personal one for me. In October 2024, I was diagnosed with Advanced Ovarian Cancer and currently receiving palliative treatments and care. I stand on the shoulders of women whose lives contributed to the research and data to make these treatments possible.
This year, I am swimming in honor of my sweetheart, Liz Larew and my sister, Alicia Randazzo--both beautiful, radiant and fierce breast cancer survivors.
In addition, I'm swimming in memory of Joanna Pallock and Deb Tien Price, my friends and fellow alumni of the Commonweal Cancer Help Program--both moved through this world with passion and grace.
