Kairo’s story began with an AVM that changed his life forever.
At just two years old, Kairo experienced an AVM rupture and a devastating brain bleed. Today, he lives with the lasting effects of that injury and faces challenges that will affect him throughout his life.
But Kairo is more than what happened to him.
He is brave. He is resilient. And his journey has shown our family just how important awareness, early recognition, proper diagnosis, treatment, and support can be for families facing an AVM or brain aneurysm.
On September 27, 2026, TAAF will bring its official TAAFWalk to San Francisco. We are joining remotely and bringing the spirit of that walk home to Chicago.
Kairo’s Brave Journey – Chicago will bring our family, friends, and community together to walk in solidarity, raise awareness, and support TAAF’s mission.
Whether you join us in Chicago, join our fundraising team, make a donation, or simply share Kairo’s story, you are helping us shine a light for other families navigating an AVM or brain aneurysm.
No family should have to navigate this journey alone.
?❤️ Walk with Kairo. Stand with families. Raise awareness. Keep the light burning.
