I'm walking in the annual TAAF (The Aneurysm and AVM Foundation) Walk on August 30, 2026, in San Francisco. It's an event that raises awareness and funds research for aneurysms and AVMs (arteriovenous malformations).
In my late 20s, I found out I have AV fistulas. Over the next decade, between ages 28 and 38, I went through 8 brain procedures. After the third one, I ended up having an aneurysm.
I've been lucky to have incredible doctors who've helped correct the fistulas in my brain. But there's still a lot more research that needs to happen, both to help people going through this now and to find better ways to prevent it down the line.
If you're able to donate, anything helps and I'd really appreciate it. Thanks for taking the time to read this and for considering supporting the cause.
God bless.
We Are the Lighthouse Keepers
No one should have to navigate brain aneurysm, AVM, or stroke alone.
Every day, survivors, caregivers, clinicians, volunteers, donors, and supporters help others find their way through some of life's most difficult moments. TAAF calls these individuals Lighthouse Keepers.
This year, I'm walking to help keep that light burning for others.
