My mom turned 60 this year, and to celebrate, she wanted to run her eighth and final marathon with me! I love challenges and always crave new ways to test my mental and physical toughness, so this was an offer I could not refuse. I look forward to having my mom show me the ropes on race day, and have been thoroughly enjoying training and running with her. Raising awareness and education about adolescent depression is something that has always been very important to me. I am honored to run with Erika's Lighthouse to show support, understanding, and strength to my peers, my friends, my past self, and all that have struggled with their mental health.

Erika's Lighthouse is determined to make sure no young person feels alone in their depression. We are dedicated to creating a community of empathy and education. We create middle school and high school teen depression awareness programs so educators and teens can create safe spaces to learn about depression, letting students know they are never alone, and there is somewhere to turn.
