Hi, I am Amy.   It’s been my honor to serve on the Snow City Arts Governing Board for the last four years.  As many of you know being a part of SCA has been an amazing experience for me.  Seeing my fundraising efforts directly impact children’s lives by making their stay in the hospital a creative, exciting, and productive one.   Seeing these kids flourish into proud artists is beyond words. 

A bit about Snow City Arts for those just hearing about us for the first time.  Snow City Arts has a staff of professional teaching artists located within five Chicagoland hospitals, Rush University Children’s Hospital, Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago, John H. Stroger, Jr. Hospital of Cook County, Children’s Hospital University of Illinois, and, Northwestern Medicine Central DuPage Hospital.

The Snow City Arts teaching artists transform patients into painters... into sketch artists... into photographers... into filmmakers... into poets and novelists and playwrights... into musicians. We transform hospital rooms into art studios, and in doing so, we create a space where a child can simply be a child.

Now I am so excited to be a part of the SCA race team put together by our amazing Auxiliary Board.   Your donation will help us to provide these invaluable services to some of the most vulnerable of our populace: sick kids. Over the past 14 years, we have inspired and educated thousands of children and youth; your support will help us reach more.
