For twenty years, Snow City Arts has been inspiring and educating children and youth in hospitals through the arts. It has been my honor to serve as Executive Director of this amazing organization for the last six years.

Many of you know that I am not big on organized sports activities, especially a run, but I am planning to walk the 5k this year as part of Team Snow City Arts. You can support me through this endeavor!

Snow City Arts engages young people in the hospital in making art. Our aim to is to transform a challenging time into a creative time. Our work follows three key Best Practices across all of work regardless if a child is making music, writing a play, screen-printing a t-shirt, making a film, painting, or writing a poem. Each of these interactions puts choice in the hands of a student, meets each student where they are, and values process over product.

As a result, we see a child’s eyes brighten through the spark of creativity taking their imagination out of their hospital room and to new realms in their imaginations.

$500 can purchase an iPad used to bring filmmaking, music editing, and stop-motion
animation to a student’s bedside
$1,000 provides the visual arts supplies for an entire year at one of our hospitals!
