Event Description

Snow City Arts inspires youth in Chicago area hospitals by helping them create and learn about art. Each year, Snow City Arts provides arts instruction to approximately 1,200 patients at Rush University Children’s Hospital, Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago, Children's Hospital University of Illinois, and Northwestern Medicine Central DuPage Hospital. Making art with a Snow City Arts teaching artist is an interesting, creative, engaging break from the reality of being ill and in the hospital. Snow City Arts’ teaching artists offer the students the choice to paint, draw, make music or a film, write poetry or a play.

In order to raise vital funds for this impactful program, Team Snow City Arts will be running the Hot Chocolate Race on Sunday, November 4. Last year more than 60 runners raised over $35,000 to help Snow City Arts continue to inspire and educate children and youth in hospitals through the arts! We hope you’ll join us this year by building a personal fundraising page (by clicking the "Register for This Event" button under the thermometer) and by raising $500 or more.

In addition to awesome swag for Team Snow City Arts members, we’ll be hosting fun runs, yoga sessions, fundraising tips, and other training opportunities in the months leading up to the race.

THANK YOU!
