Why I'm Running (and Why You Should Support Me!)
Last year I ran my first-ever 5K race with Team Snow City Arts....and WON IT ALL!! (not really...)
This year I'm doing it again, but not for fame or for glory....but to support an amazing organization that is very close to my heart....SNOW CITY ARTS.
Snow City Arts brings the arts to children and youth staying in Chicago-area hospitals:
- changing hospital rooms from frightening spaces into art/film/recording studios,
- providing choices and agency to those who have few decisions they can make on their own, and
- engaging hearts and minds around the power of artistic expression.
The art these kids create is nothing short of incredible and I am in awe of their strength, perseverance, and raw talent.
This is why I support Snow City Arts.

Last year, Snow City Arts brought professional arts education engagement to more than 1,000 children and youth in the Chicago area and your contribution will help them to reach even more children and youth in the coming year.
