I’m running for #TeamSCC in honor of one of my closest friends growing up, Eddie Sitzman. Eddie had Down syndrome, but never let that stop him from being one of the best athletes, and people, I’ve ever known. From backyard basketball to floor hockey, soccer, and every sport he could get his hands on, he showed me that everyone deserves the chance to play. He sadly passed away this summer, and I’m running to honor him and his memory, in hopes that every kid gets that same opportunity.

Special Children’s Charities has been the driving force behind inclusion and empowerment for children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities throughout Chicago. 

Special Children’s Charities aims to transcend boundaries and redefine possibilities by serving as a symbol of empowerment and inclusivity within both the disability community and the City of Chicago.
