The Reithers are my dear friends.Isaiah was a light that shined brightly to all those around him.
Isaiah spent much of his life at Children's Hospital, and the care he recieved was tremendous. (He also took care of everybody there too. If you knew Isaiah, your life was forever touched by his.)
Isaiah's earthly life has ended, but he contiues to inspire. The family is now hoping to give back to Chldren's Hospital so that other familes can share the wonderful care, love and support they recevied throughout Isaiah's time among them. When Jeff (Isaiah's dad) told me he was running Grandma's Marathon last year - I did not wait for him to ask me to join him, but told him we'd do it together!
On April 5, 2018 (after many monthos of training) I had an office accident resulting in a laceration across my left ankle that gave me 17 stitches and put me on crutches and in a boot for a few weeks.
It has been quite the recovery.
Isaiah's joy and tenacious spirit alongside my enduring love for his parents Jeff and Laura has given me all the inspiration I need to heal and get training again for Grandma's Marathon. Jeff and I may be walking it - but Isaiah will be running beside us with every step. I hope you will share in our journey and support our Marathon for Isaiah and Children's Hospital.
