Eight days after delivering my daughter I was diagnosed with postpartum preeclampsia and it was truly so scary. I did not know you could get it after pregnancy and now I do. I felt off for almost three days with a slight headache, deep breaths, and feeling like my heart rate was slower than normal. It later turned to a busting headache, low heart rate, lower O2 level resulting in me being admitted into the hospital with a magnesium drip. I am thankful to be here as I know many women cannot say the same story.
It is my goal to make sure others know it can happen as well and to ensure mothers advocate for themselves. It could just save their life! No mother should feel alone and the mental battle takes a toll on us all so we must have a group we can connect with!
