Welcome to our Together is Better Walk and Celebration team fundraising page! We are walking to show our support for Club 21 and individuals with Down syndrome. 

James turns 20 in August, hard to believe!  At 20, our family needs Club 21 now more than ever.  Transition to young adulthood is hard for all, and especially hard for an individual with an intellectual disability. 

This past year James attended monthly social skills classes, monthly activities with his Club 21 friends (mini golf, escape room and rock climbing were his favs) and a young adult conference.  We have attend many online webinars Club 21 offers and our annual Tools for the Journey conference.  Plus, James' school offered a Workability Program and he asked if he could work at Club 21 - so from Jan - April he did custodial work, special office projects and even helped me at a booth. 

James would not have the opportunites he has nor us have the knowledge we have gained to give James access and skills toward a life that he wants to have.  Like many 20 year olds he is wants friends, college, a girlfriend and being independent.  We learn at Club 21 so he can work towards his goals!

Club 21 is growing, please consider helping James and Club 21 continue to build the next chapter of programs and opportunities for all ages.
