When she was very young, I couldn't yet see what inclusion would look like for her or for our family. There were so many unknowns, and there were times when I struggled to believe in what was possible. But coming back to Club 21 always helped put me back on track. They gave us community, knowledge, support, and most importantly, hope. They kept me believing—even when I didn't believe in myself yet. Club 21 has shaped not only our family's journey, but also the way I see and advocate for inclusion today. I know firsthand how important it is for families to have a place where they feel understood, supported, and reminded that their child's possibilities are bigger than what they may be able to see in the beginning. Today, we are walking to give back to the organization that has given so much to our family.
