Hello Everyone! Thank you for visiting my fundraising page for the Gloria Gemma Foundation Flames of Hope! I was diagnosed with breast cancer in May 2016. Those three words “you have cancer” are life changing. I received a pink Gloria Gemma tote bag on my first visit to the RIH Cancer Center. I emailed the organization when I got home and immediately heard back from Mandy Zito. I was very overwhelmed and knew I had to find someone to discuss my concerns. Mandy was wonderful! She met with me to answer my questions, she calmed my fears and put me in contact with Christina Andrade who had the same type of cancer I had. Christina also met with me and gave me amazing advice! They both helped me connect with the young survivors group and other resources at the foundation. I'm so thankful to have found this support system!

Now that I am finished with chemo, radiation and infusion treatments, I would love to carry a torch at the illuminations of Life ceremony as a survivor! However, I need your help to reach this goal. Not only will I be walking for myself but also I will be walking for my mom who is a breast cancer survivor and I will be walking in honor of those who have lost the fight and for those fighting this horrifying disease. Let us all support the Gloria Gemma Foundation and their resources to assist anyone affected by breast cancer.  Thank you!!!
