In a push to increase our tree planting capacity for a healthy and resilient future in Southern California, we are launching a new campaign...

ROOTING FOR OUR FUTURE aims to plant and distribute more than 20,000 TREES in the next twenty-four months, and to care for countless more. The TreePeople board will MATCH YOUR GIFT, dollar-for-dollar, up to $100,000.

Fundraisers will receive TreePeople rewards for their success:

$250 = TreePeople branded face covering

 $500 =  TreePeople vintage logo shirt

$750 = private TreePeople online lesson on a topic of your choice

$1,000 = private 10-person guided hike at Coldwater Canyon Park*

$1,500 = private 10-person TreePeople planting event*

$5,000 = private 10-person TreePeople planting event w/ event photographer, event photo album, social media posts and TreePeople shirts for all participants*

*All events will be permitted, schedule and condeucted per government and organizational COVID-Safety guidelines. Participants that reach the $1,500 or $5,000 levels can choose between receiving one private planting event or on private guided hike. 

As part of our Rooting for our Future Campaign, we will be working in communities like Watts, Lynwood, La Mirada, Santa Fe Springs, and Norwalk. We will also be distributing free fruit trees to residents in places like Commerce. And our reach will take us to San Francisquito Canyon in the Angeles National Forest, greenways in Studio City and to the open spaces of the Santa Monica Mountains. In the cities of San Fernando, Watts and  Huntington Park, Cudahy, Bell, and Downey, we will plant and care for trees along key pedestrian corridors, as well as in schools and parks.
