I discovered Animal Justice's fundraiser, #Voiceless4AnimalJustice, when I was looking up information about the recently passed ag gag law in Ontario, Bill 156. At a time when people want more information about where their food comes from and how agricultural animals are treated, it is both ludacrious and horrific that laws are being passed to hide animal abuse.
In response to this bill, I adopted a vegan diet and on November 14th and I will be silent for 24 hours as a sign of solidarity to the voiceless animanls who continue to suffer in a severely under supervised sector.
I cannot trust my provincial government to hold the agricultural sector to high enough standards that would make eating animal products a heathly or ethical choice. It is my hope that my friends and family will donate (tax deductible) and help me rasie $2000 for Animal Justice - Canada’s only national animal law advocacy organization working to protect all animals from cruelty and neglect.
We need to prevent more ag gag laws in Canada, we need to fund the battle in the court rooms! Canada currently has some of the worst animal protections laws in the western world, and these dangerous ag gag laws will make a bad situation far worse.
For their health and ours, thank you all for you support!
