Hello my name is Tammy. It is my 12 year old grandson Carson who wanted to do something to make a difference in our community. Carson is kind, caring, friendly and above all super compassionate. He has an absolute heart of gold. Since he was a young child he would hold the door for me, he didn't hesitate to sit by his great grandmother's bedside and help her when she became ill and bedridden, he stopped by often just to chat with one of his best friend's at Summitt Village Nursing Facility, who also happened to be just over 100 years old. Carson can make friends no matter where he goes and no matter what environment he is in. I am beyond proud of him. It was completely his idea to participate last year and again this year in the Virtual Polar Bear Dip to raise a little money to support River Hospital. Any donation amount is certainly appreciated and Carson will be incredibly grateful. Sending much love:) Tammy and Carson

The Polar Bear Dip has been raising money for River Hospital in Alexandria Bay, NY for over 30 years. By joining this event you are joining thousands of people who have made a difference for River Hospital over the years. This year, more than ever no matter how you dip what is important is that you help us continue the Dip tradition for River Hospital! We really do need your help and appreciate all your amazing support over the years! This year’s funding will support resources for the Emergency Department, including additional cardiac monitors which are critical to the hospital’s COVID-19 response efforts.
