How to Brrr-tually Dip!
STEP 1: REGISTER AND FUNDRAISE
- Register online using the "Register" or "Sign up" tabs at the top of this screen.
- Create your own fundraising page (you will be directed to do this once you registration is complete). Get as creative as you want with pictures, videos, linking your social media and tell people why you are Dipping to support River Hospital or keep it simple with just your name and personal fundraising goal.
- Share your Dip page with family and friends via email and social media for them to donate directly through the website with a credit card. Click here for check and cash donations.
- As you complete tasks like registration, sharing, adding video content, reaching certain fundraising percentages of your goal and more you will earn Polar Bear Dip badges that will automatically appear on your page to show off how amazing your are!
STEP 2: PLAN YOUR VIRTUAL DIP
Come up with a fun & safe way to Dip. Here are few ideas for your own Virtual Dip....
- Take an ice bath in your swimsuit or costume
- Water balloon fight in the snow
- Super soaker battle outside
- Sprinkler run
- Dip in an inflatable/plastic kiddie pool
- Truck Pool (use a trap liner)
- Please do not jump in The River. Open water Dips will not be eligible for judging.
- Please follow all safety regualtions and social distancing during your Dip.
Step 3: RECORD AND UPLOAD YOUR VIRTUAL DIP
- Take photos or record a video of your Dip that is about 10-30 seconds in length!
- Submit your video/photos of your Virtual Dip by February 13, 2022
- HIGHLY RECOMMENDED: Submit to your own YouTube channel and share link to your Dipper page, Facebook, instagram and email to friends, family and your fans (come on...we know you Dippers all have fans!). Scroll to the bottom of this page to watch a tutorial on how to upload a YouTube video from your phone or computer.
- ALSO ACCEPTED: Email photos and/or video to cwakefield@riverhospital.org
- The official Virtual Dip compilation video will be posted on the final day of the Dip at 1pm EST on February 26 2022!
- Inappropriate or unsafe submissions will not be included in the final Dip video and will not be in the running for judges’ awards.
STEP 4: POST TO SOCIAL MEDIA (Be sure to like and follow our social media pages!)
- Share your video/photos to your social media. Be sure to tag us when you do! #RiverHospitalDip2022

STEP 5: STAY TUNED DURING THE MONTH OF FEBRUARY AND THE FINAL EVENT at 1PM EST on FEBRUARY 26, 2022
Judges will be tuning in with event Emcee on February 26th to judge & present awards in the following categories:
- Adult Individual raising the most money.
- Child Individual raising the most money.
- Team raising the most money.
- Best Dip technique (Adult, Child and Team).
- Best costume (Adult, Child and Team).
(trophies will be mailed to the winners after the final event)
