It's still up for debate how many years Michael (my newphew) and I have been freezin' for a reason and dipping in the St. Lawrence! We know it over a decade that we have been part of this amazing community fundraiser for River Hospital. A life principal my parents taught me was the importance of giving, as the rewards for the giver is great. This is so true in my life. I am blessed that the1000 Islands region has been part of me, my entire life, and now I am part owner of land. I am so grateful to the friends I have made who live in the Bay year round, they are the salt of the earth. I truly appreciate River Hospital as over the 50+ years that I, my family and friends have been visiting, we have had incidences where we have found ourselves in the River Hospital Emergency Room. In all our dealings with the hospital, we have been treated by professional nurses and doctors who have been polite and efficient. Thank you River Hospital for all that you do for the community. The Polar Bear Dip has been raising money for River Hospital in Alexandria Bay, NY for over 30 years. By joining this event you are joining thousands of people who have made a difference for River Hospital over the years. This year, more than ever no matter how you dip what is important is that you help us continue the Dip tradition for River Hospital! We really do need your help and appreciate all your amazing support over the years! This year’s funding will support resources for the Emergency Department, including additional cardiac monitors which are critical to the hospital’s COVID-19 response efforts.
