Diagnosed with epilepsy at age 22, I was very fortunate to be stabilized, and stay seizure free for 8 years on a single medication. 

That was then, the past 12 years  have been a whirlwind of medications, Dr appointments,  and even surgeries, not to mention being unable to drive for about 75% of that time and the miserable side effects from the meds. Approximately two years ago I was put on my "miracle drug," it drastically reduced my seizures and with a little tweaking I've been able to discontinue 3 of my seizure meds and have been seizure free for 9 months (knock on wood). So much of this is d/t the education I receive at the EFMN conferences and walk, which is possible thanks to your generous donations
