I started walking with the Epilepsy Foundation back in 2010 and have been every year. I had been diagnosed with epilepsy in 2007, so everything was still very new to me. My mom found the foundation, so we started getting involved. I was even a member of the Youth Advisory Council for a year. It was a great experience. Every year, our team, Hoppers 4 Hope, keeps growing. My main goal is to raise awareness. This year is different, not only because of Covid, but because I am pregnant with my own little hopper. He is due at the beginning of September, so I wasn't planning on attending. Moving the event to October and making it a neighborhood walk instead opens it up to have so many more attend! Even my own little one can come to his first walk; in a stroller this time, of course ;)
So save the date to take a little stroll and if you would like to, feel free to donate! But all I'm asking is to take a little walk with Hoppers 4 Hope wherever you may be on Saturday, October 3rd! More info as the day gets closer :)
