My story - Hey friends, this spring I will be walking to support the work of Water4Life Mozambique. I am seeking prayer for this, and also asking if you would be able to sponsor me. The walk is scheduled 3/26/22 and is hosted by Deep Creek Community Church in Punta Gorda, Florida. Water4Life Mozambique is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization based in Punta Gorda, Florida that brings clean, safe drinking water to some of the poorest and most vulnerable people by drilling water wells in rural villages of Mozambique Africa. While I am still recovering and not yet able to run, would you consider sponsoring me for this walk? To be sure, any amount helps! But to push my recovery, if you are able, I am asking you to challenge me in one of the following ways: $50 = I mile, $100 = 2 miles, $150 = 3 miles (almost a 5k!), and $200 = 4 miles (more than 6k!) Please keep in mind that though I am not running, I will be carrying water over half of the way. You and I have a heart for people needing clean water and I want you to know something very special to me. Each well that is drilled brings clean water to about 1,200 people and costs $6,900. 100% of all donations made to Water4Life Mozambique go toward drilling wells as the other costs are covered by the board of directors. Mozambique ranks as the world’s 2nd poorest country. Clean water is a basic human need. Yet, without drilled water wells in their villages, women and girls are destined to walk all day, every day—all of their lives—to fetch the only water they can find: dirty, contaminated water that must suffice for their families’ daily needs.
