My Personal Fundraising Page

When you support my Walk for Kids fundraiser, you’re making a difference for families when it matters most. 

Our Reason to Walk:

Jayce, our son, had just been released from a 72 day stay in the NICU. At the time, we lived in Yuma, AZ and had several follow up appointments with specialists in Tucson. While at one of these appointments, Jayce became unresponsive and was rushed to the hospital. After several tests, the doctors thankfully were able to perform surgery to resolve the problem. 

Throughout this very chaotic time, the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Southern Arizona (RMHC-SA) supported my family in a way no one else could. They provided a free place to stay just down the street from the hospital and so much more! They were flexible; there was no minimum or maximum stay. When the hospital decided to keep Jayce an extra night, they welcomed it with open arms even though we had been there several days. We stayed the week of Thanksgiving; they provided not only a home-cooked Thanksgiving dinner, but also leftovers as well. They had onsite free laundry facilities to wash our only pair of clothes. I took my most needed shower ever there. And when it was time to send us on our way home, they gave us TWO large boxes filled with diapers, wipes, clothes, books, toys, etc. 

RMHC-SA supported us when we needed it most; and therefore, my family and I will continue to support them whever possible -  as over 85% of their operations are funded by donations like ours.
