Sailing for Uncle Jerry!
Call us crazy, but someday we hope to circumnavigate the world! Our 2021 milestone family goal was to learn to sail! We joined a sail club and crewed with friends throughout the summer. Eva (10 yo) completed Junior Sail Camp and Erik took the Adult Learn to Sail classes. Our first vessel, Finding Eden, found us in August. She is a 25' Catalina and while she will not be the vessel to take us around the globe, she is a mighty beauty to give us our "lake legs".
A few weeks ago our Unlce Jerry who always had a warm smile and compassionate hug passed away with Hospice services. This weekend we are entering our first race! We are fundraising for the Hospice Regatta and will be sailing for Uncle Jerry. Erik and I also met while working at a Hospice 17 years ago! We have a lot to thank Hospice for! Please consider donating to an amazing service provided to patients and families in a difficult time!
