While many of us are practicing physical distancing to avoid spreading illness, Georgetown Hospital’s dedicated team of front line medical professionals are ready and are responding to this pandemic. We are indebted to them and our hospital’s clinical leaders who are making a positive difference to the health of our community while ensuring the safety of all patients, staff, physicians, and volunteers.
The hospital requires a Philips Respironics BiPAP A40. This is a bedside unit that provides a variety of therapies for patients who require respiratory support while they sleep. The efficient monitiering of this system also allows for the nurses assigned to this patient to care for more patients as it reduces the number of manual interventions.
The current unit is no longer available for use and needs to be replaced.
I am reaching out to our Mathnasium to community to respectfully ask for your help and assistance to raise the funds needed to purchase this piece of equipment. I believe that our generous community can raise 50% of the cost. If we are able to raise this amount, the hospital has connected with other donors who will help to raise the remaining 50%.
