The Hope Willow Ranch is participating in the 50th Annual Walk & Roll for Hope on Saturday, May 4th, 2019. This fundraiser is being held by Hope Community Resources, a not-for profit organization that assists and supports people who experience developmental disabilities in the State of Alaska. This year all monies raised by the Willow Ranch Team will be utilized exclusively by the Ranch, specifically for our Electricity Project. 

For nearly 13 years the Hope Willow Ranch has operated by using generator power to support 5 amazing guys. As the Ranch continues to grow, the need for electricity from the local electric company (MEA), is essential. We have outgrown our generator's abilities and now need to have power lines and poles brought onto the property.

The guys that reside at the Ranch have chosen to live on this 70 acre parcel of land where they can maintain a subsistence lifestyle that brings them a sense of independence they were unable to find in previous residential environments. The guys raise livestock, harvesting some to supplement their pantries; they grow vegetable gardens; hunt and fish, pick berries; ride four-wheelers and snow machines; and learn mechanics and wood working skills in the shops. They spend time volunteering to help their neighbors and businesses.

This site will close on Friday, May 3rd for donations but you can continue to send your donations in - just contact Gena Coleman, Assistant Ranch Manager at 907-355-2494.
