Not Just a Walk in the Park
In its 9th year, Walk for The Woods Project is putting into action several character traits our students develop through TWP programs - we are being more ADAPTABLE than ever!!Â
2020 Walk for The Woods Project, presented by ENGIE, is going VIRTUAL!!
In response to COVID-19, The Woods Project is transitioning to a VIRTUAL Walk experience. The Walk celebration will take place between May 15th - May 17th. Anytime during the 3-day event, participants will stroll, bike, and/or treadmill 3 miles in and around their homes & neighborhoods.
Your safety is our top priority. As you explore your neighborhood, please be sure to follow physical distancing guidelines. Click here for guidelines from Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
TWP students are facing unprecedented situations and need The Woods Project opportunities to develop the critical skills needed to navigate and overcome challenges. Now, more than ever, TWP students need you.Â
Can we count on you to Walk for The Woods Project?
Register today to participate in the virtual Walk, then share with friends and family to help raise funds to support The Woods Project. While we can't come together in person this year, we can connect on social media to show our support for The Woods Project students. Post your progress on Facebook and Instagram with the hashtag: #wftwp.Â
It's our first Virtual event. Here's how it works:
- Still not a race! You can walk, run, cycle, treadmill a 3-mile route at your own pace.
- Now a 3-day event! Complete your 3 miles anytime between Friday, May 15th through Sunday, May 17th, 2020!
- Can be done anywhere! Invite friends and family across the globe to join your team. Be sure to practice physical distancing guidelines.Â
- Wear a Yellow shirt as you walk. In a sign of solidarity as we face unprecedented challenges, please wear something yellow to represent Hope.  If you don't own something yellow, consider wearing a TWP shirt.
- Hear from our students. The Walk is still a celebration of our students. Over the 3-day event, we will post videos of our students telling stories about their transformative TWP experience. Â
- Don't forget those selfies! Post a photo of you Walking the Walk! Hashtag #wftwp
