The Woods Project Club at KHHS is fundraising money to take 10 high school students backpacking this upcoming summer. The club meets every other Wednesday during lunch. During this one hour club time we prepare students for our two week backpacking trip in the summer by teaching them a variety of outdoor skills. The cost of the trip is roughly $5,000 per student, but because the organization fundraises 80% of the trip's cost, our students have to pay $675 in order to attend this once in a life time opportunity. The cost for our students can still be a lot due to specific family circumstances. Our team's goal is to be able to fundraise $6,750 so that all of our students can have the opportunity to go to the trip at no cost. Please consider contributong to this goal even if it is $1 anything will help to subsidize the cost.
