Breast cancer has impacted so many people—whether it’s family, friends, or members of our community. Being part of this fundraiser gives me the opportunity to help make a difference for those who are going through something incredibly difficult.

Organizations like Carolina Breast Friends provide support, encouragement, and a sense of community for those facing a diagnosis—and that kind of support truly matters.

I am a 14 year old 8th grade student with a deep love for the arts and for being part of a community dedicated to making a positive difference in the lives of others. I truly enjoy spending time with my family and friends, and I have a special passion for storytelling through dance. I am especially motivated to help make a difference because breast cancer is a cause that is deeply personal to me, as members of my family have faced it firsthand. This makes supporting the cause especially meaningful and important to me.

This fundraiser is extra special to our studio because our owner, Michelle, is an 18-year breast cancer survivor. Her story has shown us how life can change in an instant—but also how powerful love, support, and community can be during the hardest times.

Her story inspires us to be part of something bigger—coming together, giving back, and supporting others in a fun and meaningful way. We’re proud to help spread awareness and make a difference!

As part of this fundraiser, I’ll be wearing a pink hair extension (“wiglet”) throughout the month of April to help raise awareness and start conversations.
