“Habitat for Humanity’s Women Build program recruits, educates and inspires women to build and advocate for simple, decent and affordable homes in their communities. “

This is actual the wording on the flyer I received when I attended the kick off meeting for the 2019 Women’s Build this year.  It really does sum up nicely what the program does in fact do.  The more I learn about Habitat, the more I am excited to participate.  Habitat works to give people “a hand up and not a hand out”.  The Women’s build program is a home built by 80% women. 

This is my second year working on the Dream Builders team.  Our team chose the name because for many families owning a home of their own is a dream.  We wanted to help make that a reality for a deserving family.  These families work right along side volunteers building the homes. 

Our team set a goal of $10,000.  I have set my personal fundraising goal as $500.  I would be most grateful if you could assist me in reaching this goal.  Together we can reach this goal, see a family reach their “Dream” as we “Build” this home together.
