After a very reluctant start as a lake swimmer five years ago, I now would not miss this event! I swim because my friends talked me into it and because it is gobsmacking how amazing this community effort is. It's just so inspiring to be part of something this big and this meaningful and to do it in the lovely natural world just under my own steam. I've lost several friends to cancer and last year my mum, too. I swim for them and for those who need our support. If you are able to support my swim with a small donation -- thank you.
