Hi! We are the women of the Ithaca Fire Department, and we are swimming on behalf of:

- Leyla Dietrich, daughter of Julia Louis (who is the wife of one of our firefighters, Jamon), who died of brain cancer at the age of 17, leaving a beautiful legacy for those around her;

- Doctor Lena Kourkoutis, accomplished engineer and physicist, and beloved wife of retired firefighter Chris Kourkoutis, who died of colon cancer at the age of 44;

- And, lastly, our fallen sister firefighter Daryl Lynn Pace, who was diagnosed with ocular melanoma while on the job and died in 2019 at the age of 36.

They are all in our hearts, and we are honored to do this in their memory. Thank you for taking the time to visit our page, and we hope you support us this year, whether in person or in spirit.
