Write-a-thon daily writing life journal
How I lived
my writing life
today
SAT JULY 31, 2021
- TODAY ends my ClarionWest Write-A-Thon effort. I am proud to say that I am closer to reclaiming my writing life today than I was 6 weeks ago. I've found a new writing group, have reinserted a creative writing schedule into my days, signed up for several upcoming workshops or masterminds, and--by looking at my report below--find myself doing "all the things" that are part and parcel of the writing life (including, well, writing!).

- Cried about releasing my first book during a pandemic. Feeling all the feels. It's never easy, but the lack of live readings really sucks, and Zoom/social media has been no savior. Writers who are selling lots of books right now are outliers or have privileges most of us do not.

Welcome to THE FLARE...
Goals for the CW Write-a-thon 2021
Reclaim daily time toward my creative writing endeavors. No time or word goals, just a daily practice. I write for a living and it can be very hard to turn on my creative writing brain after using my work brain due to issues with a neurological disorder. But I miss my creative writing life and want to reclaim it. I wrote about this act of reclamation at Medium. Thanks for your support.
