Paragraph Summary of Work in Progress

Mild-mannered Circle Keeper Mihrin loves his work, including the fact that it mostly goes unnoticed. He is so used to being overlooked that he doesn’t hesitate to help his lover Rión breach a portal in search of a cure for a wave of illness sweeping Woodland Green. Rión fails to return on time, and while she is missing senior Circle Keepers announce the closure of all portals, leaving her stranded in a hostile realm. When none of his friends are willing to help him pressure leaders to re-open the portals, Mihrin approaches them alone and is stripped of his livelihood and rank. Shocked by escalating hatred, the search for scapegoats, and the callous response to Rión’s plight, Mihrin must decide whether to risk everything to bring her home.
